Tudun Biri bombings: Senate to donate N109 million-Akpabio

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has said that the Senate will donate the sum of N109 million to the victims of erroneous drone bombings of Tudun Biri community of Kaduna State by the Nigerian Army barely a week ago.

Senator Akpabio who was represented by deputy Senate president, Barau Jibrin said all the 109 Senators will each contribute from their one month salary to make up the donation.

The Deputy Senate President who visited the Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani on condolence said the lawmakers were shocked over the incident, adding that the Senate will partner the federal government and the Kaduna State government to ensure succour for the community.

“The 109 Senators will contribute from their one month salary and donate the sum of N109 million to the victims of the bombing in Tudun Biri.

“We were indeed shocked over the incident and we prayed never to see such occurrence again”. He said.

The deputy Senate President also visited the Barau Dikko Teaching hospital, Kaduna to sympathise with the survivors.
