Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City star, might make a surprise transfer to Aston Villa this summer.

According to Sky Sports, the Midlands club is mulling a move for De Bruyne, who will be a free agent after the season.

Villa are reported to have already had internal conversations about signing the 33-year-old.

However, they will play MLS teams such as Inter Miami, Chicago Fire, D.C. United, and NYCFC.

De Bruyne has previously confirmed that he will leave City after nearly ten years.

The Premier League winners chose not to renew the Belgian’s contract, and it remains to be seen if he will join Villa, like Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford, or another club this summer.

Roy Keane recommended De Bruyne to join rivals United. De Bruyne has won 16 trophies with City, including six Premier League crowns and the Champions League.
