… New age mark of God’s special grace – Tor Tiv

The paramount ruler of the Tiv nation, the Tor Tiv, His Royal Majesty, Orchivirigh Professor James Ayatse, has described the attainment of 70 years on earth of his son and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Sen. George Akume as a mark of God’s special grace in his life.
The Begha u Tiv stated this in his goodwill message to Sen George Akume signed by his Special Assistant on Media and ICT, Freddie Adamgbe and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Wednesday.
The Tor Tiv noted that he has demonstrated spectacular leadership qualities in every position he found himself from being Permanent Secretary, Governor, Senator and Minister of the Federal Republic as well as now Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
He prayed God to grant Sen George Akume more decades of good health and strength to sustain his top performances in every assignment bestowed on him, while the Tor Tiv again commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding him worthy of a higher position in his administration.
Orcivirigh Ayatse who is the National President and Chairman Board of Trustees Association of Christain Traditional Rulers of Nigeria assured President Tinubu of the full support and cooperation of the Benue State Council Traditional Rulers saying Sen Akume has never been found wanting in all his assignments.
He urged the SGF to carry out his duties with his usual commitment to foster the peace and unity of Nigeria.
In the same vein, immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortomhas also joined millions of other Nigerians in celebrating the SGF, Senator George Akume on his 70th birthday anniversary.
Chief Ortom, in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Terver Akase, described Senator Akume as a statesman and leader who has made significant contributions to the development of the nation in his public service career.
“As a two-time Governor of Benue State, three-time Senator representing Benue North West Senatorial District, Minister and now Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Akume’s leadership has been characterized by wisdom, humility and commitment to the growth of society.”
Chief Ortom noted that Senator Akume has groomed and positioned countless people including technocrats, politicians and professionals in various fields, and his legacy of vision and mentorship will continue to positively impact on many lives.
The former Governor prayed God to grant the SGF many more years of good health, happiness, and continued fulfillment.
