Former Presidential Adviser, Udenta Udenta, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of expanding insecurity across Nigeria, saying the situation has worsened under the current administration.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics, Udenta argued that while insecurity was previously concentrated in parts of the North-East under former President Muhammadu Buhari, it has now spread to other regions of the country.
“Insecurity was much more rooted in the North-East; he has expanded it to the North-West, North-Central, and everywhere,” Udenta said.

He maintained that many of the challenges facing the country today—including rising poverty, currency instability, and declining living standards—originated during the Buhari administration but have intensified under Tinubu.
According to him, the current government has accelerated the decline, worsening the economic and security conditions across the country.
Udenta also questioned the administration’s electoral prospects, insisting that the president’s performance may not be sufficient to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
The political analyst’s comments come amid growing debate over governance, security, and economic conditions as the country gradually approaches another election cycle.
