Popular Nigerian music stars Daniel Benson (BNXN), Douglas Jack Agu (Runtown), and Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie (Patoranking) have been lined up for the 66th Nigerian Independence Day Parade and Carnival in New York City on Saturday, October 3.
The three hitmakers are expected to deliver electrifying performances at the annual gathering, which brings together thousands of Nigerians, friends of Nigeria, and members of the broader African diaspora across the United States.
Organised by the Organisation for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN), alongside partner groups under the Nigerian Independence Day Committee (NIDC), the parade remains a cornerstone event for the diaspora. OAN Secretary-General Funmi Dike noted that this year’s milestone celebration will showcase Nigeria’s vibrant cultural heritage through music, fashion, cuisine and traditional dance.
Beyond celebrating national pride, organisers emphasised that the event offers younger, US-raised Nigerians a meaningful way to connect with their roots.

The 2026 parade is supported by major sponsor Montefiore and promotional sponsor NUFF JAMZ ENTERTAINMENT INCORPORATED, NYC, both helping to amplify the event’s reach across the United States.
The NIDC also extended its gratitude to the Consul General of Nigeria in New York, Ambassador Abubakar Jidda, acknowledging his steadfast leadership and dedication to bolstering the Nigerian diaspora community.
Calling on corporate partners and community institutions to support the ongoing effort, the OAN and NIDC underscored that sponsorship helps preserve cultural identity for future generations.
The general public, the diaspora community, and friends of Nigeria are all invited to attend the open event.
