By Vivian Onyebukwa
It was like a carnival of sorts, a memorable day. Men, women and young people from far and near descended on the auditorium of Royal Choice Ministries International (RCMI), a fast growing church at Ketu, Lagos. Dateline: October 19, 2025.

Their mission was to worship and identify with a man of grace, servant of the Most High God and presiding / founding pastor of RCMI, Pastor (Dr) Success Ibeakanma, who celebrated another milestone in his life. In fact, it was beyond a personal milestone but a celebration of values—faith, resilience and service.
The event started with a brief church service officiated by Dr Ibeakanma. Thereafter, the guests had a treat to remember.
The hall was exquisitely decorated and the guests made fashion statements with their costumes A whiff of perfumes enveloped the auditorium as people hugged and exchanged good-natured banters.
Ibeakanma, popularly known as “Prophet of Results,” was full of praises to God for his life and accomplishments. Heaven kissed the earth as he prayed for breakthrough and deliverance for the congregation
Chairman of the occasion, Mr Oliver Ezirim, a deputy commissioner of police, in his opening remarks acknowledged the reason for the gathering saying: “We are here to celebrate the Prophet of Results. The man that heaven obeys his words. Any time God want to do something, he send Elijah. He happens to be one of the prophets God sent just like Elijah this time and gave him the mandate to make people rich and give hope to the hopeless.
“Friends, family members and well wishers have defined the man of God in several ways. They see him as a man whose life defines grace and honour. A man empowered to give hope to the hopeless, a man of influence and academically sound. Others call him a philanthropist, giver, wise man, destiny helper, and humble to the core. He is equally referred to as a great man of God, real father figure, and family oriented man, humble to a fault. He is referred to as an icon, and a living legend.”
Ezirim, who is the President of the men’s wing of the church, said in his 25 years of knowing Pastor Success he has known him to be a man called by God.
He said: “There are three categories of Pastors. Those called by God, those that called themselves, and those who called God. But Success is called by God. He is a man with a heart of gold, a very humble man. He is with the heart of God, very compassionate. He has over 300 people that are enjoying his scholarship, not counting the ones that have graduated and working. He is well anointed. God talks to him one-on-one. We are blessed to have him”.
He thanked God for his life and prayed for more grace upon him.
Mrs Joy Ezirim, also a long time member of the church, referred to him as a great man of God. She said: “His anointing is too much. He is a man that loves everyone equally, a caring father. He cares for everyone and takes care of the needy, widows, and strangers. There is no limit to his giving, it is second to none. He is a prophet with results. Whatever prophecy he gives to you always comes to pass. I am a living testimony. He is an amazing father. I can’t stop talking about him. His type is rare to find”.
Mrs Ezirim prayed for continuos celebration upon his life, and to grow in bounds. “His fame will be known all over the world. His anointing will spread home and abroad. His grace will continue to grow. He will live long to reap the fruits of his labour in Jesus name,” Mrs Ezirim siad.
Notable Nollywood actress, Grace Ama, said even though it’s not been long she met the Pastor, but within that short space of time, she could be able to tell a lot about his person, his humility, generosity, and his service to humanity.
“I met him through DCP Oliver Ezirim. Ever since then he has been like a spiritual father to me. He is a great personality. It’s not in doubt that God is using him, and this is just the beginning. What you have never seen God do through him, the Almighty God will do it in his life. Pastor Success is an amazing personality and I love him dearly, as my spiritual father,” Amah said.
It was a two-in-one event: Celebration of his birthday, and a book launch. The book is written in honour of Dr Ibeakanma by his personal friend of about 27 years, Rev Uche.
Reviewing the book titled, “The Prophet of Results,” the Rev narrated how Ibeakanma supported him in life. He showered encomium on the clergy, whom he said has been carrying him along for as long as their relationship lasted.
“I wrote this book out of my personal relationship with him. He carried me to different places in his outreach. He even bought me a car.”
He described Ibeakanma as a deeply spirited man, saying: “He mentored my wife. Dr Success is a Prophet of Results. He is a global figure.”
While launching the book, Ibeakanma stated that he went emotional after reading the book because of the content. “This is not an ordinary book. After reading this book, I started shedding tears because of the content.”
He noted that the book is going to impact lives, and urged everyone including families, youths, and generations to ensure that they read it.
A long-standing friend of his, King Henry Umahi, described him as a pastor among pastors. He said: “Dr Ibeakanma is a man among men. He is a pastor among pastors. He is a leader among leaders. He is a unique personality and his outstanding qualities stand him out.
“Dr Ibeakanma is a man of many parts and master of all. He is a prophet, public speaker, prolific writer, quintessential gentleman and philanthropist extraordinaire. He is also the convener of the online prayer programme: All Things Are Possible (ATAP) which holds every Monday-Friday.
Married to Pastor Faith Ibeakanma, they are blessed with God-fearing children.
