The management, teachers and parents of Starfield College, Fagba Lagos, has acknowledged the outstanding performance of its students in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the May/June 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
At the 25th graduation ceremony for the 2024/2025 class, the college honoured some of them and also parents for their patronage.
The 88 graduating students were described as worthy ambassadors and were sent-forth in a grand style.
The college also showcased the two valedictorians, Abodunrin Oyinloluwa Divine and David Akorode Akiogbe for their performance in the school exam and UTME.
In his address, Starfield College Director of Studies, Mr. Chris Eigbe, said it has been a demanding year for everybody and the examination bodies tried the patience of the students who remained undaunted. Eigbe explained that parents’ support for the students never wavered while their focus for their success never shifted.
“As they step out of Starfield College, I am sure that these children in their public and private life will honour you and make you proud, your efforts and guidance in them will not be in vain, he stated.
He charged the students to remain worthy ambassadors of the college and advised them to take their university education seriously.

The college Principal, Mrs. Sara Oyinloye, said the gathering is not only to celebrate the end of a chapter but also the beginning of a new journey for the graduating students.
According to her, the students have displayed an unwavering commitment to excellence, a dedication to learning, and a spirit of resilience, adding, “as we reflect on their accomplishments, let us not forget the countless hours of hard work, prayers, the late nights of studying, and the moments of doubt that have ultimately led to this triumph.”
Oyinloye charged them to take advantage of technology, remain focused and work hard to achieve there desired results.
The 16-year-old Akiogbe, who wants to study Mechanical Techmo. Engineering at Afe Babalola University, commended the college for grooming them to success in UTME and WASSCE, thus preparing the graduating students for the next phase of their educational pursuit.
The Ondo State student disclosed that ahead of the two exams, the school camped them and that they also attended classes on Saturday and Sunday.
He words: “I appreciate the camping in the college. For twelve hours, we were placed on a special lesson diet. Our teachers came for extra lessons from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. These efforts paid off with the outstanding performance recorded in the two exams.”
Abodunrin, 17, lauded the college and its teachers for guiding the students to a good outing in WASSCE and UTME. She told Daily Sun that she wants to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lagos.
Other outstanding students were rewarded in different subjects by the college while parents whose three or four wards passed through the college were presented with gifts.
