Spelling genius competition inspires young minds

In a resounding celebration of academic excellence and youthful ambition, Twisco, the chocolate beverage brand, recently concluded its sponsorship of the third annual spelling genius competition. Held at the SUBEB multipurpose hall in Maryland, Lagos, the event drew an impressive crowd of over 1,500 students and educators from public and private primary and secondary schools.

The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their remarkable spelling prowess and enhance their vocabulary and language skills, which are crucial elements for academic success. Twisco, recognizing the pivotal role of these skills, awarded a total of N750,000 in prize money to the top three contestants. The third-place winner received N150,000, the second-place winner got N250,000, and the grand prize champion walked away with N350,000.

Lillian Omorenuwa, brand manager for the beverage category at Promasidor Nigeria, spoke passionately about Twisco’s commitment to nurturing the intellectual and personal development of young minds.
