However, there is no gainsaying that the businessman is a force to reckon with in the construction industry. His firm, Gibraltar Construction Company plays in the big leagues as it’s only said to get involved with multi-billion naira real estate deals. And the company has recorded many feats that have fetched awards for the businessman.
The International property magnate has enjoyed torrents of awards and recognition more than many of his counterparts. They keep coming from different organisations, churches as well as school. This is absolutely for his good deeds in the society. For a man born to be great, the honours keep coming in torrents. He recently picked a bigger diadem from his professional association, the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV). The professional body decided to honour Sir Okeowo with a special recognition award for his distinguished services and professionalism in the industry at a glamorous awards ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja recently.
The usually reclusive Sir Okeowo – attended personally in all his glory – was presented the award by the NIESV President, Johnbull Amayaevbo, who lauded him for his longevity and professionalism in the industry. Amayaevbo said that through the awards ceremony, the association seeks to recognise and celebrate individuals, government parastatals, and corporate organisations whose contributions to the development of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers sector have been immense. Over the years, Okeowo’s company has built up an ever-increasing experience in most areas of the construction industry by collaborating with world-renowned designers, engineers, and clients to deliver technically-sophisticated and exciting building projects to cities and communities around the country.
