Content creator and actor, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has bagged a Master’s degree in Acting from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Peckham, London.
He made this known in an X post on Wednesday, while sharing a video of his graduation ceremony.
“Master of Arts with Distinction in Performance (Acting). Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts,” he wrote.
In May, Mr Macaroni disclosed that he had completed his creative project performance and dissertation towards the completion of his MA in Acting.
“I investigated how Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed in combination with Afrocentric Performance Techniques can be used to offer strategies to resist sociopolitical oppression,” he disclosed.
He previously announced his London theatre debut as part of his postgraduate studies, starring as Lord Commander Thomas Fairfax in Howard Brenton’s historical stage play, 55 Days.
The play, directed by James Yeatman, was staged at Mountview’s The Backstage Theatre and dramatises the intense 55-day countdown leading to the trial and execution of King Charles I in December 1648.
Photos shared by the school show Mr Macaroni in full 17th-century military costume alongside his MA Performance cohort including Benedict Barker, Maryam Gafar, Sam Gordon-Webb and Ben Mansell.
It was his second major academic milestone in the UK after 2025, when he completed the Advanced Acting for Camera Course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.
He had shared a photo in front of RADA’s auditorium at the time, writing, “I am excited to complete the Advanced Acting For Camera Course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.”
Mr Macaroni earned his first degree in Theatre Arts and Film Studies from Redeemer’s University in 2018, after earlier stints studying law at Lead City University, Houdegbe North American University in Cotonou, and Afe Babalola University.
He is known for his satirical skits, activism and roles in films like Ayinla (2021), Anikulapo (2022), Freedom Way (2024) and Lisabi: The Uprising (2024), among others.
