…Complementing Gov. Zulum’s Infrastructure Drive

In a significant stride toward bolstering infrastructure and improving the livelihoods of his constituents, the Chief Whip of the Senate and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Distinguished Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno (Esq.), today officially launched the construction of the Dikwa–Marte Road project in Borno North Senatorial District.

The project, which aims to enhance access to essential services and stimulate economic activities in the region, is a direct response to the pressing infrastructural needs of the area and a testament to Senator Monguno’s commitment to grassroots development.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Sen. Monguno charged the contractor with delivering a high-quality job and ensuring timely completion. He emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the contract terms and specifications, noting that the project is part of a broader effort to support Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s infrastructure development initiatives across the state.

“In complementing the laudable infrastructure development initiatives of His Excellency, Prof. Engr. Babagana Umara Zulum, mni, FNSE, we are initiating this project—and many more are already in the pipeline,” Sen. Monguno stated. “As you mobilize to site, I urge you to strictly adhere to the contract terms and conditions to ensure timely and standard delivery.”

The Dikwa–Marte Road, once completed, is expected to open up economic corridors, facilitate smoother transportation, and significantly improve access to healthcare, education, and other critical services in the region.
