Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, Mr Olatunji Disu, said: “We are going tough against criminals terrorising the state. We arrested 15 suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and cultists in their various scenes of crime.
“Operatives killed Izuma David Odiereke aka Solution, the notorious cult leader terrorising residents of Owube, in Ahoada West Local Government. The command declared him wanted in 2016 following many killings attributed to him.
“The command has adopted a robust security strategy to effectively address this challenge and maintain peace in the state. We are professionals and are committed to using our expertise having carefully reviewed the crime pattern in the state. We came out with discovery of an emergence of a particular crime pattern in the past.
“Police operatives arrested another set of armed robbers in Ogoni axis. They were terrorising residents in the community.
“The Anti-Kidnapping Unit arrested kidnappers in Etche. They were involved in various kidnap operations and collected ransom from victims’ relatives. The suspects confessed to the crime. and Dangerous weapons were recovered from their shrine.”
