Rasaq Okoya tops 40 Most Influential People in Nigeria
Highly revered industrialist, Chief Rasak Akanni Okoya has led a star-studded list of eminent Nigerians named in a new book as among the 40 most influential people in the country. The book, titled: The 40 Most Influential People in Nigeria, is authored by journalist and public relations consultant, Bode Odeseye and published by Excel Publishing Group.
Also listed among others who have distinguished themselves with enormous influence in different spheres including politics/governance, democratic ideals/activism, economic, infrastructural and social development; banking and finance, commerce and industry, telecommunications/technology, education, philanthropy, legislative enactment and international relations are Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Mr. Tony Elumelu and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. Odeseye noted that a series of assiduous research conducted revealed that these eminent personalities have carved a niche for themselves by breaking boundaries and adding immeasurable value in various areas of endeavours, through milestone achievements and impact on mankind; irrevocably stamping their footprints on the sand of time.
“As the most populated African nation, Nigeria, according to United Nations’ data, has 223.8 million people. It is noteworthy that these 40 people wield enormous influence in the country of such a mammoth population, and this influence transcends Nigeria, Africa, impacting the world, in several cases.
They have perpetually brought themselves into reckoning by immensely creating immutable legacies, exhibiting outstanding capacity as high achievers and making very perceptible difference in spheres of life, indelibly etching their names in the annals of history as front-line influential people,” Odeseye stated.
The book, he added, captures their historical trajectory, chronicles their lives, while underscoring their numerous achievements and positive impacts on humanity, for posterity.
