INTRODUCTION:
The help of God was the secret of the early church.
The help of God was the secret of the heroes of faith; Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob enjoyed the help of God. They did not have to struggle.
1. Abraham- Genesis.12:1-4.AMPC. 1 “Now [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father’s house, to the land that I will show you.
2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].
3 And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and [a]curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].
4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.”
Gen.13:2.KJV. 2 “And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.”
2. Isaac- Gen.26:1-4, 12-14.NIV.
1 “Now there was a famine in the land—besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar.
2 The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live.
3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.
4 I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring[a] all nations on earth will be blessed,[b]
12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.
13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.”
3. Jacob- Gen.31:1-13.AMP. 1 “Jacob heard that Laban’s sons were saying: “Jacob has taken away everything that was our father’s, and from what belonged to our father he has acquired all this wealth and honor.”
2 Jacob noticed [a change in] the [a]attitude of Laban, and saw that it was not friendly toward him as before.
3 Then the Lord said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your people, and I will be with you.”
4 So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to his flock in the field,
5 and he said to them, “I see [a change in] your father’s attitude, that he is not friendly toward me as [he was] before; but the God of my father [Isaac] has been with me.
6 You know that I have served your father with all my strength.
7 Yet your father has cheated me [as often as possible] and changed my wages ten times; but God did not allow him to hurt me.
8 If he said, ‘The speckled shall be your wages,’ then the entire flock gave birth to speckled [young]; and if he said, ‘The streaked shall be your wages,’ then the entire flock gave birth to streaked [young].
9 Thus God has taken away the flocks of your father and given them to me.
10 And it happened at the time when the flock conceived that I looked up and saw in a dream that the rams which mated [with the female goats] were streaked, speckled, and spotted.
11 And the [a]Angel of God said to me in the dream, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’
12 He said, ‘Look up and see, all the rams which are mating [with the flock] are streaked, speckled, and spotted; for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.
13 I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar, and where you made a vow to Me; now stand up, leave this land, and return to the land of your birth.”
To live without the help of God is to live in frustration, struggle, and stagnation. To live without the help of God is to live at risk. It is important to know that the only time that is not safe for a man is when God is not with you so as long as God is with you, He will help you and struggle will be far from you in Jesus’ name.
Every child of God has a glorious destiny in Christ. 2 Peter.1:3.KJV. 3 “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”
Rev.5:10.KJV. 10 “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
Everyone’s future is a reflection of what he or she chooses to believe. When you look in the mirror, who you see is yourself. Are you trying to think if you are seeing yourself? No! You believe that and you are convinced that it is you. The same applies to your future. You are the reflection of what you choose to believe.
If you believe what your situation, nation, and the world are saying, you do not have a future in God because your future is not determined by the economy of your nation, your future is determined by what you believe. In Genesis where we read, the Lord told Abraham to leave his country to the land where he will show him. Away from his family and relatives. That goes to show us that your country does not determine your blessing. Your relatives are not the ones to determine your blessing. Your father’s house is inconsequential when it comes to the Lord blessing you.
Only those who believe what the word of God says have a glorious future.
Many believe the economist more than the word of God.
Others believe the politicians, and the news in their nation more than the word of God.
Many people are suffering, stagnated, frustrated, and defeated because they fixed their minds on the economy and situation of their nation.
The word of God is the manual of your life.
It guarantees your future; it can settle you in every area of your life.
