Inspired by its corporate social responsibility framework, PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Ltd has donated computers, a projector, writing materials and a complete 16-capacity computer laboratory furniture set to Government Secondary School (GSS) Jiwa in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.

The effort, aimed at strengthening technology education, will expand students’ access to modern learning tools, improve digital literacy, and better prepare young Nigerians for a future increasingly shaped by science, technology, and innovation.

Speaking at the official handover ceremony, PrimeTech’s General Manager, Christian Moessmer, expressed appreciation to dignitaries, school administrators, and community members in attendance, describing the event as a meaningful milestone in the company’s CSR journey. He explained that the intervention reflects PrimeTech’s commitment to promoting learning and widening access to quality educational resources.

“Access to quality education and modern learning tools is not a privilege, but a necessity in today’s world,” Moessmer said, stressing the company’s belief that every child—regardless of background—deserves an opportunity to develop technology skills and thrive in a competitive global environment. He noted that PrimeTech’s mission extends beyond physical infrastructure and engineering solutions to include human capital development. “At PrimeTech Design and Engineering, our work revolves around planning, designing, and building for the future. But beyond physical structures, we understand that human capacity is the most important infrastructure any nation can build,” he stated.

Moessmer emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping critical thinking, innovation, and social impact among young people. “Education equips young people with the tools to think critically, innovate boldly, and contribute meaningfully to society. By supporting schools and students, we are not merely donating equipment—we are investing in potential, nurturing talent, and opening doors to opportunities that may otherwise remain closed.”

Addressing students of Government Secondary School Jiwa directly, he encouraged them to embrace the new learning resources and maximize the opportunities they provide. He urged them to remain curious, ask questions, and pursue ambitious dreams in technology, engineering, and innovation.

“The fields of technology, engineering, and innovation are wide open to you,” he told the students. “With dedication and discipline, you have limitless potential. These tools are stepping stones, but how far you go depends on how effectively you use them.”

Moessmer also reaffirmed PrimeTech’s commitment to the host community, describing Jiwa as more than a beneficiary. “Jiwa is more than a host community—it is a partner in progress,” he said, expressing pride in contributing to the development of local youth and optimism about the long-term impact of the initiative.

The Principal of Government Secondary School Jiwa, Aso Hycient, conveyed heartfelt appreciation to PrimeTech for what he described as a landmark contribution to the institution. “Today’s occasion marks a significant milestone in the history of our school,” he said.

He detailed the scope of the donation, noting that the school received “fourteen (14) pieces of 13th Generation HP all-in-one computers, a sixteen-student capacity computer laboratory furniture set, and one hundred (100) literacy packs for our students, generously donated by PrimeTech.”

According to Hycient, the upgraded computer laboratory will expand students’ access to modern technology, enhance digital competence, and equip them with skills relevant to the demands of the 21st century. He added that the literacy packs will support foundational learning and help promote stronger academic performance across subjects.

He assured stakeholders that the donated equipment and materials would be responsibly managed and effectively utilized. “We also look forward to continued partnership and collaboration with PrimeTech in the years ahead,” he said.

The donation includes computers fitted with educational kits and hands-on learning tools aimed at strengthening practical technology skills, encouraging problem-solving, and creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment. By improving access to digital resources, the initiative is expected to broaden students’ career horizons and improve their readiness for future opportunities in STEM-related fields.

PrimeTech’s intervention underscores its broader mission to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s development by empowering young people with relevant skills and knowledge. The company, which operates as part of the Julius Berger Group, maintains a strong focus on delivering high-quality engineering and design services while upholding values of innovation, professionalism, and community impact.

Based in Abuja, PrimeTech employs architects, engineers, technical specialists, and support staff who serve both public and private sector clients. For more than a decade, the firm has played a role in shaping modern urban spaces and corporate environments, earning recognition for creativity, technical excellence, and forward-looking solutions.
