Executive Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has hosted the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Lagos, Salem Aljaberi, in an engagement that explored new opportunities for investment, cooperation and business partnerships between Nigeria and the UAE.
Rabiu said the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on opportunities ahead, expressing optimism that economic relations between the two countries would continue to deepen and deliver value to their citizens.
“It was a great honour to receive His Excellency Salem Aljaberi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Lagos, at my office today,” Rabiu said.
“It was a pleasure exchanging views on the opportunities ahead. I look forward to seeing the relationship between Nigeria and the UAE continue to grow stronger and deliver meaningful value for both countries.”
The BUA chairman also commended Aljaberi for his efforts to strengthen ties between Nigeria and the UAE and thanked him for his visit and continued commitment to building bridges between the two countries.
The engagement comes against the backdrop of BUA Group’s expanding investments across key sectors of Nigeria’s economy, including cement, foods, manufacturing, agriculture and infrastructure.
Through its operations, the conglomerate has built a significant presence in the productive sector, while its publicly listed subsidiaries, BUA Cement and BUA Foods, continue to contribute to industrial activity and government revenue.
The meeting, agreed to broader possibilities for increased economic cooperation between Nigeria and the UAE, with Rabiu expressing confidence that stronger relations would translate into greater investment and business opportunities for both countries.
