Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Muazu Mohammed, Commandant, Police College, Maiduguri, Borno State, has charged officers to be professional during exercise and imbibe community policing: “Police training school is a special training institution for ethics and professional conduct.
“It’s with the objective of effecting a change in officers’ attitudes and giving them a positive orientation line with the vision of Inspector-General of Police, Mr Olukayode Egbetokun. We have handled this re-orientation course with utmost commitment and passion and have recorded huge success.
“On October 7, 2025, recruited constables from Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states passed out from the college after under going six months’ of training. I want to appreciate President Bola Tinubu, the governor, IGP, AIG Zone 15, and three commissioners of the police of the command, for the success.
“I congratulate officers on behalf of the IGP and charge them to uphold professionalism, ethics and modern policing standards instilled in them during training, in line with the realities of 21-century law enforcement. In accordance with the IGP’s directive on community policing, the officers will begin their career not just in their states of origin but within their respective communities. They represent their families, communities, LGs and states. I urge them to be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force and avoid any conduct capable of tarnishing its image.
“Our staff are supportive and committed to duty. Our commitment to excellent standards and integrity is unwavering and irrevocable. We are dedicated, hardworking, dynamic and motivated staff committed to the lofty idea of a better college.
