The Plateau State Government has lifted the curfew imposed on Jos North Local Government Area due to improved security in the area.
Joyce Ramnap, Commissioner for Information, confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday.
Ramnap stated that the modification will take effect on April 1, 2026.
She explained that the curfew, which was initially issued for 48 hours, will now be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, allowing residents to carry out their customary activities during the permitted hours.
According to the statement, the decision followed the relative calm recorded after the recent violent attack on residents of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area.
