Oyo govt demolishes house used to hold Adelabu’s abducted sister, nephews

Demolished-Building

The Oyo State Government on Monday demolished a bungalow used to hold former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu’s sister, Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons, Peter and Paul.

It was learnt that the demolition exercise was executed by officials of the Ministry of Lands and Housing in collaboration with security agencies.

According to the state government, the exercise was aimed at reinforcing the state’s zero-tolerance stance against criminality.

In a now trending video, bulldozers belonging to the state government could be seen wreaking havoc on the property, which was completely levelled.

John-Paul and her sons were rescued in an operation by a police team carried out around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, three days after their abduction at the Elewura area of Challenge in Ibadan, Oyo State.
