A business development expert, Dr. Tunji Rhema Moyero has said that Ondo State economy is crucial to the development of the South West geo political zone of Nigeria.
The economist noted that the state’s economy is one of the largest in the West Africa sub-region if effectively managed.
Moyero stated this while addressing stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state during a tour of the local government to sensitize them on the need to support the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu led government and compliment his efforts by choosing a competent candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
He said, Ore, which is the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area is a strategic town in the development of Ondo State and the South West owing to its vast deposits of resources, saying that the people must begin to understand the importance of promoting the town.
Also, issues bothering on the state’s economy, leadership and other related issues were discussed at the event.
Moyero opined that the solution to the state’s economic challenges is to develop a blue print for economic development where small scale enterprise will drive the economy and create more job opportunities in the state.
The business development expert, who is also a chieftain of the APC said the state’s economy is one of the largest in West Africa, taking into consideration its vast deposit of resources in Odigbo and other local government areas of the state.
He said investors from across the world should be encouraged to tap into the resources and maximize them for the economic development of the state.
He stated that only a visionary leader with economic knowledge can develop a frame work for development in Ondo state as witnessed in Lagos under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was Governor of the state.
Moyero who is nursing governorship ambition in the state promised to open up and engage the economy through entrepreneurship if considered by the people to govern them.
