The management of the University of Benin has announced that for the first time in many years, all degree programmes offered by the University have been fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, said the feat followed the successful accreditation exercise conducted by the Commission in October and November last year across faculties, schools and centres in the university, adding that the NUC recently released the result of the accreditation exercise in a letter dated April 7 and addressed to the Vice Chancellor.
“Thrilled by the outcome, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba Omoregie, attributed the stellar performance to hard work and commitment of the management and staff to academic distinction while promoting high educational ideals and values.
