Akwa United yesterday recorded her first away victory in the 4-week old NPFL season beating Niger Tornadoes 2-1 at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.
The victory saw the Promise Keepers climb to second position on the league log.
Defending champions Plateau United, courtesy of their 3-0 bashing of Elkanemi at home moved to the top of the table.
Heartland was the only other team that secured point away yesterday.
The Naze millionaires held Go Round FC to a 1-1 draw at the Krisdera Stadium, Omoku in a game which the hosts finished with 10 men no thanks to the red card shown Azu Chile during added on time.
In Akure, Sunshine Stars defeated Rivers United 2-0, with the visitors conceding defeat. Rivers United had after the game tweeted that the Owena side deserve their victory.
