For Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Titilola Ajayi, not all actresses have sugar daddies bankrolling them and sponsoring their luxurious lifestyles.
In an encounter with Saturday Sun, Ajayi said: “I think fan love is what gives way to a lot of goodies that come to the females in the industry. Not everyone is waiting to be bankrolled. A lot of actresses have side hustles apart from acting that gives them room for more patronage from fans. A lot of our fans will buy at whatever price as long as it’s their favourite. And once you add other line of hustle, you are likely to make more money. I know we have been accused of having sugar daddies, but I don’t agree with that notion. Not everyone is open to sugar daddies or is lucky with their male partners. And again, not all sugar daddies play with funds.”
Shedding more light on her latest movie, Aimokan, the graduate of Mass Communication from Ajayi Crowther University shared the inspiration behind the domestic violence-themed story.
“Most times, we hear about domestic violence in homes and it’s always the females that are the victims. But the society doesn’t care or know how the man is being treated in his home too. Hence, I feel it’s okay for the world to know that men also go through abuse. But they can’t speak up for the fear of being misconstrued or ridiculed,” she stressed.
