The Managing Director  Nigeria LNG Limited, Adeleye Falade, has commended the Rivers State Police Command for its sustained efforts in protecting critical national assets and ensuring security around the company’s operations.

Falade described the Command as professional, disciplined, and committed to maintaining safety across the state.

He gave the commendation while hosting the commissioner of police, Olugbenga Adepoju and his team during a  visit to NLNG’s Corporate Head Office in Port Harcourt on Monday.

The NLNG boss acknowledged the police’s critical role in safeguarding the company’s operations, particularly the Train 7 project and the strategic Bonny–Bodo Road corridor. He noted that their proactive approach to securing lives, property, and infrastructure has been instrumental to the company’s uninterrupted operations.

Falade, however, stressed the need for deeper collaboration as the imminent commissioning of the Bonny–Bodo Road is expected to significantly improve access to Bonny Island.

“With increased access to Bonny Island, there is a need for broader engagement on how to sustain the safety of both people and assets. Secured and uninterrupted operations will continue to deliver benefits to Rivers State and the nation,” he said.

In his response, Adepoju reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with NLNG, describing the company as a vital contributor to both the state and national economy.

“NLNG remains a pride of Rivers State and a key pillar of Nigeria’s economy. We are fully prepared to respond swiftly to any security concerns, with effective systems already in place,” he assured.

Also present at the meeting was NLNG’s D M D, Olakunle Osobu, alongside other members of the company’s management team.
