The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a suspect identified simply as Kola over allegations of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy on three occasions.

In a Wednesday statement, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, ordered the immediate manhunt following a formal report lodged at Adigbe Police Division at about 5pm on Tuesday.

According to the police, the teenage boy, who was accompanied by his parents, alleged that Mr. Kola sexually assaulted him three times in January 2026 and threatened him into silence.

“Following the report, he was taken to a hospital within Adigbe axis for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation,” Babaseyi stated.

The command noted that the matter only came to police attention upon the report made on Tuesday, September 8.

The statement said Kola is presently at large, while CP Ojajuni has directed detectives to “intensify efforts to locate and arrest him on sight.”

The command assured the public that the case is receiving “urgent, professional and sensitive investigation,” while reiterating its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons.
