AC Milan is considering selling Samuel Chukwueze during the January transfer window, as the club expects offers for the Nigerian winger from Saudi clubs. Chukwueze is currently recovering from a thigh injury he sustained during Milan’s 1-1 draw against Roma on December 29, which is expected to keep him out for approximately five weeks.
Due to his injury and the arrival of new Milan coach, Sergio Conceicao, it appears Chukwueze is no longer in the team’s plans. Consequently, Milan has started exploring the possibility of signing Napoli’s Cyril Ngonge. Recent reports indicate that the club met with Ngonge’s agent to discuss potential terms and is trying to ascertain his asking price.
If Chukwueze is sold, Ngonge could become a strong option for Milan, especially with several Saudi clubs showing interest. A transfer offer for Chukwueze in the coming days is considered possible.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that Chukwueze has also been linked to Aston Villa, who may pursue him if they fail to complete a deal for Donyell Malen. Chukwueze signed with Milan from Villarreal in the summer of 2023, where he had previously thrived under coach Unai Emery but has struggled to find his form in Serie A.
