It was all music and dance recently as Akintayo Olusegun popularly known as Merry Flavour launched his debut album, ‘Manifesting His Purpose’ at FaithJoe Event Centre, Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to Akintayo, the album, an infusion of juju and R&B, is a way of reaching out to all Christians. “We want to use this music to reach out to all juju lovers so that they can also have a feel of gospel juju like never before. You know many people love Ebenezer Obey and Sunny Ade and so, we intend using this platform to spread the gospel too,” she said.
A former banker, Akintayo started his music career in 1999 at D’Rovans, Ibadan under the tutelage of Oluola. He decided to be on his own when his boss relocated overseas, and ever since, he has been well accepted by music lovers.
