There was a massive deployment of security personnel, consisting of policemen and operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, on Monday morning, June 30.
The security personnel, who were stationed in front of Wadata Plaza, also cordoned off one lane of Michael Okpara Street, where the PDP secretariat is located.
The security deployment comes ahead of the meetings of the opposition party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), expanded caucus, and National Executive Committee (NEC).
Members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) were divided on Sunday over whether the party would hold the expanded national caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings today.
