How PDP caucus meeting descended into chaos

Chaos in PDP caucus meeting

Things took an unpleasant turn for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday when the caucus meeting turned into a chaotic session as members were forcefully ejected from the National Executive Committee (NEC) hall.

According to online reports, two PDP members were ejected from the venue by security operatives after some protocol officers declared that they had no business at the gathering.

While dragging the members out, the glass door was shattered, with the National Director of Publicity, Chinwe Nnorom, screaming, “Are you an NWC member?”

Daily Sun reported that policemen deployed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat prevented members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) from gaining access to Wadata Plaza.

Due to the development, the meeting was shifted to the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District, Abuja.

While addressing newsmen, former PDP national secretary, Umar Tsauri, said he was acting on orders and that o meeting was to be held at Wadata Plaza.
