Early this year, Nigerian producer and talent manager, Efeoghene Donald Idu, popularly known as Mac Roc launched his music platform “Mac Roc Sessions” to unearth talents in the music industry.
Since then Mac Roc has taken the talent hunt to various states nationwide to scout for music talents with over 100 sessions done, in the process discovering some future stars such as Basil Hope, Constance, Precious Mac, and Esther Orji, to name a few.
Mac Roc Sessions have also featured prominent Nigerian musicians like Oxlade, Sunmisola Agbebi, Lade, Timi Dakolo, Naomi Mac and many others.
According to Mac Roc: “the talent hunt is aimed at giving emerging talents the opportunity to showcase their talent and gain visibility.”
“Nobody is paying attention to up-and-coming singers, especially those in the streets who do not have any form of support. So I am going to the grassroots to unearth these talents,” he said.
Efe Mac Roc is setting the pace when it comes to showcasing unheard world-class talents who have the potential to succeed in the music industry.
The music producer started as a keyboardist in his local church in 2004 and is one of the few music producers bent on supporting emerging music stars through his session and platform.
His first entrance into the music scene was in 2012 with his debut single “Hope”. Since then, he has continued to make waves in the world of music and entertainment.
