Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated the newly inaugurated President of the Republic of Benin, President Romuald Wadagni, while calling for stronger regional cooperation and African unity.

Professor Gwarzo conveyed his congratulatory message shortly after the inauguration ceremony, where President Wadagni delivered an address focused on national cohesion, regional integration and collective development across Africa.

The MAAUN founder described the emergence of President Wadagni as a significant milestone for Benin Republic and the African continent, expressing optimism that the new administration would strengthen diplomatic and economic collaboration among African nations.

According to reports by Le Point, Professor Gwarzo was among distinguished personalities invited to attend the inauguration ceremony but was unable to be present due to circumstances beyond his control.

Reacting to the Beninese president’s inaugural speech, Gwarzo commended Wadagni’s emphasis on African solidarity, peaceful coexistence and stronger cooperation among neighbouring countries.

He said the vision outlined by the new president reflected the growing aspirations of Africans for a more united, stable and prosperous continent.

“President Wadagni’s message demonstrates visionary leadership and a commitment to strengthening regional cooperation for the collective progress of Africa,” Gwarzo stated.

The educationist and philanthropist stressed that sustainable development and lasting peace across Africa could only be achieved through unity of purpose, mutual respect and stronger collaboration among African leaders.

He further urged President Wadagni to remain committed to policies that promote regional integration, youth empowerment, educational advancement and economic development.

Professor Gwarzo also reaffirmed his belief in the power of visionary leadership and continental solidarity, noting that the inauguration of President Wadagni had renewed hope for a stronger and more progressive Africa.

He called on African leaders to continue prioritising partnerships and initiatives capable of fostering economic growth, social stability and peaceful coexistence across the continent.
