Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique has described his Manchester City counterpart, Pep Guardiola as the greatest of all time.

Enrique paid tribute as his fellow Spaniard is set to depart as manager after 10 years in charge at City.

In a Friday statement, Manchester City confirmed Guardiola would be leaving as manager this summer, but would take on the role of Global Ambassador of City Football Group.

The 55-year-old joined the Citizens in July 2016 and won 20 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League.

He is one of two managers in history, alongside Enrique, to win the continental treble twice and he holds the record for the most consecutive league games won in La Liga, Bundesliga, and the Premier League.

Reacting to Guardiola’s imminent departure, Enrique said, “Pep Guardiola is the greatest coach of all time. I don’t want to believe it. I want him to continue being part of football for many more years.”

He also praised the City manager’s impact on the game.

“He is number one, he is the best coach. He is a model for everyone. Not just because of the trophies, but because he changed the game,” he said.
