Fulham claimed their first point of the 2026/27 Premier League season with a disciplined 0-0 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool, unbeaten under new head coach Andoni Iraola and coming off consecutive wins over Ipswich Town in the league and Atlético Madrid in the Champions League, dominated possession but lacked a cutting edge.
Winless and pointless after three narrow defeats, Álvaro Arbeloa’s side frustrated the hosts with a solid defensive display and threatened on the counter.
The first half was largely cagey. Fulham nearly capitalised early when a mix-up between Alisson and Ryan Gravenberch allowed Gonzalo García a chance, only for Jérémy Jacquet to clear off the line.
The home team’s best opportunity came in the 22nd minute, but Victor Muñoz headed Dominik Szoboszlai’s corner against the crossbar.
Antonee Robinson also headed just wide for the visitors.
Neither side managed a breakthrough after the break despite a host of substitutions.
Liverpool introduced Milos Kerkez for Kostas Tsimikas at half-time, then Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, Jeremie Frimpong and Rio Ngumoha.
Fulham brought on Kenny Tete, Kevin, Emile Smith Rowe, Hugo Larsson and Rodrigo Muniz.
Late chances included a Szoboszlai free-kick and corner that Alexander Isak headed wide in stoppage time, plus a final Frimpong cross that Ngumoha could not convert.
Bernd Leno and Alisson both made saves as the game ended goalless.
Liverpool remain unbeaten with six points from four games, while Fulham move off the bottom with their first point.
The result marks a solid away point for Arbeloa’s side on their return to Anfield, where the former Liverpool defender faced his old club as manager, and a missed opportunity for Iraola’s Reds to build further momentum.
Both teams turn their attention to midweek EFL Cup action, with Liverpool at home against Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham going away to West Ham.
