Commissioner of Police, Kwara State, Mrs Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, has read riot acts to criminals. She declared: “If they don’t relocate, the state will be too hot for them. We arrested 15 suspected hoodlums who once terrorised the state.
“My mission in Kwara State is to flush out criminals. With the people we will work together in the spirit of community policing. I have charged officers to provide high-quality policing service to the public.
“The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Olukayode Egbetokun’s vision and mission emphasised on commitment, professionalism, selflessness and service to humanity.
“New operational strategies, training and retaining of personnel should be paramount to enhance tactical engagement. The IGP promised improved the welfare of personnel. There will be a robust and effective human and technical intelligence gathering process to enhance the capacity of personnel.
“The command arrested 10 suspected armed robbers and recovered some dangerous weapons from them. Operatives raided hideouts of hoodlums in IIorin. Some suspected members of the Eiye confraternity involved in armed robbery were arrested.
“The tactical team was redeployed to flashpoints to curb hoodlums from neighbouring states. We need the support of other sister agencies to work together and flush out hoodlums out of the state.”
