Kebbi to register football club with N400m

The  Kebbi State Government has set aside about N400 millions to register a football club.

The said club is expected to participate in the next season professional football league in the country.

Commissioner for Sports and Youths Development, Alhaji Abubakar Imam, confirmed this, on Wednesday, while speaking with journalists on the state of sports in the state.

“We have a standing football club which has won a place to represents Nigeria at international competition in Dubai.

” The government has also approved N400 million  for the club registration with the Nigerian Football Association, NFA”.

Sports Commissioner disclosed that government has set up committee to review how to rehabilitate stadia in the state stressed that after upgraded their facilities, all games would be revived in the state.

He added his Ministry had commenced training on youths across the state on security, fishery, soap making  in partnership with Fidelity Bank and Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps ( NSCDC).
