Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 20 suspects during various operations. Some dangerous weapons were recovered from them.

Commissioner of Police, Mr Musa Yusuf Garba, said: “We have continuously intensified our drive for policing and other relevant engagements with concerted intelligence-led operations round clock visibility patrols synergising with other security agencies and proactive measures made us flush the criminals out of their various hideouts.

“Police operatives raided their hideouts and arrested 15 suspected thugs disturbing and robbing innocent people of their valuables. We recovered dangerous weapons from them.

“Operatives arrested another set of armed robbers who operated along the Kaduna/Zaira Expressway. They were arrested during their operation.

“They made attempts to rob passengers along that route before they were arrested. They confessed to other operations carried out in Kaduna and Zaira. axis

“With the effort of joint patrol with other security agencies, criminals are relocating from the state because it is too hot for them to operate. We held meetings with stakeholders and community leaders through community policing to enable us fight the hoodlums.

“The command is working to reduce the crime rate drastically. The people should build confidence in police.”
