… Leads Man City attack against Musa’s Leicester

BY PAUL EREWUBA

The King Power Stadium would literally go up in flames today as 6th placed Manchester United visits English Premiership champions, Leicester City for a winner takes all encounter.

Indeed, Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to lead Man City’s goal rush this weekend with the absence of Argentine forward Sergio Kun Aguero.

Iheanacho has never hidden his passion to lead his side against any team. And this is the time to prove himself.

Aguero would be out for the games against Leicester City and also miss the games against Watford, Arsenal, and Hull City before returning for the trip to face Liverpool at Anfield on December 31.

And Iheanacho says he is ready to carry the burden of Manchester City goal scoring responsibilities in the absence of Kun Aguero.

“I have a responsibility to be the striker for the team, replacing Sergio when he is not around.  “I have to prove myself, give my best and work hard for the team and make sure we get the wins we need.”

However, Man City could be in for a very tough game as the Ahmed Musa side would want to win this encounter to remain out of relegation zone.

Leicester have played 14 games with only 13 points to show for their effort and precariously sitting on 16th position. The implication of a lose to Man City means they could be one step into the relegation zone.

In another game, West Brom will clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. With three wins in their last four games, they will be up against the league’s most fearful side. A win at home on Sunday for the Blues would mean nine successive victories.

Both teams won 3-1 last weekend, the Blues came out on top in their fiery encounter with Manchester City, while Tony Pulis’ men dispatched Watford with ease at the Hawthorns.

Chelsea will be sweating on whether Diego Costa will pass the fitness test, the star striker was substituted in the win over Pep Guardiola’s Man City as he hobbled off in the closing stages.

Nemanja Matic may be back in the squad after missing the visit to the Etihad Stadium with a small muscular problem.

But one thing is sure, the encounter would bring out the best in Chelsea.
