• As Yatsuhashi dumps team

BY PAUL EREWUBA

If speculations emanating from the camp of FC IfeanyiUbah is anything to go by, former Dutch coach of Warri Wolves Ard Sluis could soon be the new coach of club.
Ard Sluis was in the stands at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu when IfeanyiUbah lost their second straight game of the NPFL Super 4 last Friday night to Rivers United.
He quit Wolves mid-season, claiming sabotage.
The poor run of the Nnewi club at the Super 4 tourney, it was gathered, might force oil magnate IfeanyiUbah to sack Japanese-American Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
In the two years of ‘The Anambra Warriors’ in the top flight, the club has hired and fired John Obuh, Daniel Amokachi,  Bulgarian Mitko Dobrev as well as the young Brazilian Rafael Everton, who led them to their first major trophy, the Federation Cup, recently.
Meanwhile, IfeanyiUbah head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has reportedly dumped the club, citing interference in his job by club officials.
The Japanese-American coach’s job was said to be on the line following the Anambra Warriors’ poor showing in their opening two games in the Nigeria Professional Football League Super Four competition.
It was gathered that Yatsuhashi was not at the club’s training session yesterday afternoon  at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu which was supervised by his assistant Yaw Preko.
An official of the club, however refused to confirm the story when contacted yesterday.
FC IfeanyiUbah will take on Enugu Rangers in their final group game of the Super 4 today.
