Commissioner of Police, Osun State, Mohammed Abba, has warned criminals to stay away from the state. He told the Inspector General of Police (IGP) conference in Abuja: “We arrested 22 suspected armed robbers, cultists, murderers and bank fraudsters.

“Operatives of Anti-Cultism Squad (ACS) arrested suspects who attacked some staff of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. They killed a 46-year-old female and recovered weeds suspected to be cannabis saliva.

“Police arrested four suspected armed robbers for theft, trick and conspiracy. They recovered one Toyota Venza with Reg no BDG 71H, tubers of yam, a bunch of banana and three different Opay cards.

“Two suspected thieves were arrested for buying goods with fake bank alerts and transfers. The suspects specialised in purchasing goods especially rice and vegetables oil with fake bank alerts and transfers.

“Police operatives Ikirun Area Command, Ifelodun Local Government, collaborating with Ikirun Security Joint Task Force arrested two suspects for stealing three sheep.

“Operatives at Dugbe Division arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of 52-year-old Pastor Sina Olaribigbe. Police raided hideouts of the hoodlums arrested suspects armed robbers along Osogbo-IIesa Expressway, Osogbo-Akure Expressway and Ikire-Ibadan Expressway.
