Hydrographer of the Federation hails Disu’s appointment as IGP

The Hydrographer of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hydrographic Agency, Rear Admiral Ayo Olugbode, has congratulated AIG Tunji Disu on his appointment as acting Inspector-General of Police by President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement yesterday, Olugbode described the appointment as well deserved, noting that it reflects Disu’s professionalism, leadership qualities and dedication to national service.

He stated that the elevation is “a clear recognition of his exemplary professionalism, outstanding leadership, and unwavering dedication to the service of our great nation.”

He added that Disu’s record of integrity, discipline and operational excellence has continued to inspire confidence within the Nigeria Police Force and among citizens across the country.

“On behalf of my family and the staff of the National Hydrographic Agency, I extend my warm felicitations to AIG Tunji Olatunji Disu on his well-deserved appointment as Acting Inspector-General of Police of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.

“His proven track record of integrity, discipline, and operational excellence inspires confidence within the Force and among citizens nationwide,” Olugbode said.

The Hydrographer expressed optimism that under Disu’s leadership, the Nigeria Police Force would be strengthened and strategically repositioned to address emerging security challenges while boosting public trust in law enforcement.

“I am confident that under his capable leadership, the Nigeria Police Force will be further strengthened and strategically repositioned to effectively address emerging security challenges and enhance public trust in law enforcement,” he added.

Olugbode also prayed for wisdom, good health and success for Disu, as he assumed office, assuring him of the agency’s continued support.
