PSG and Moroccan international, Achraf Hakimi remains Africa’s number one Africa’s Most Valuable Player beating Victor Osimhen to second place, according to a report by Soccernet.ng.
The rating follows the latest data update from Transfermarkt.
It’s a rare honour for a defender, but Hakimi is no ordinary fullback. His explosive pace, attacking threat, and defensive maturity have made him one of the best in the world.
He’s already scored four goals and provided five assists in 19 appearances this term, continuing the form that helped PSG win their first-ever Champions League earlier this year.
For Morocco, he remains a talisman; the leader who helped his nation reached the World Cup semifinals in 2022 and qualifies early for the next edition. If he adds an AFCON or World Cup title to his resume, that €100m mark might just be within reach.
For several years, Osimhen reigned supreme. The Nigerian striker was the face of Napoli’s resurgence and Africa’s biggest footballing brand, peaking at an astonishing €120m in 2023.
Now at Galatasaray, following a permanent move after an impressive loan spell, Osimhen’s valuation has rebounded to €75m after a dip earlier this year.
With six goals already for Galatasaray, including three in two Champions League outings, and three for Nigeria in the October World Cup qualifiers. The 26-year-old is proving his class again.
Egypt’s Omar Marmoush though tied with Osimgen on €75 million is in third place. The 26-year-old Manchester City forward, is reaching a career-high reached earlier this year.
In contrast, Mohamed Salah whose value has plummeted to €45m is on 9th position below Bryan Mbeumo with a valuation of €70 million who is on 4th position just as Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus on €55 million is 7th followed by Bayern Munich and Senegal star, Nicholas Jackson on 8th position.

The Nigerian quartet of Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi are out of the top 10.
