Arsenal have reportedly told Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen that he would need to reduce his salary demands if he wants to join the Premier League champions.
The Gunners remain interested in signing the Nigeria international despite Galatasaray’s decision to keep him at the club during the current summer transfer window.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, Arsenal have held discussions over a potential deal for the 27-year-old striker.
However, Osimhen’s wage demands could prove to be a major obstacle to the proposed move, with Arsenal keen for the forward to lower his financial expectations.

The report added that Arsenal “have no intention of making an unreasonable offer to Osimhen” and are not ready to match his current deal with Galatasaray, which is worth more than €20 million per year.
Osimhen, who is admired by Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, must now decide whether to accept a lower offer from Arsenal or remain with Galatasaray beyond this summer.
Arteta is looking to sign one more attacking player to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes on September 1.
