Coventry City manager, Frank Lampard, has admitted that Arsenal gave his side “a difficult game” in Friday’s Premier League opener.
The Gunners secured a convincing 3-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium, with Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard getting on the scoresheet.
The result saw Mikel Arteta’s side begin their title defence on a winning note, picking up all three points.
Lampard, speaking to Sky Sports, said: “Clearly, a big challenge.

“Fantastic team, a good lesson for our boys to see the levels. They played like champions.
“It was a difficult game for us. The experience of it is probably good for us in terms of the stadium, the atmosphere at the start of the game and the quality that they have.
“When you concede goals, it’s not great from us, and that’s the reality.”
