Governor Yahaya decorates his newly promoted security officer

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has decorated his recently promoted Chief Security Officer (CSO) Sani Adamu Bajoga. The CSO was promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

While celebrating with Sani the Governor also decorated the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Gombe division of the state police command, Usman Mohammed who also was promoted to the rank of CSP.

In a brief remark shortly after decorating the officers, Governor Yahaya stated that the promotion was a result of hard work, commitment, dedication, and meritorious service.

He said, “This promotion is an appreciation of your hard work, commitment, and dedication to duty; that is why we all gathered here to perform this brief but significant ceremony”.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the performance of his CSO since assuming duty in 2019, stating that the promotion was surprising to him.

While congratulating the newly elevated officer the Governor urged them to continue to discharge their duties in line with ethical conduct.

He also expressed the conviction that the Police and other security agencies operating in Gombe are delivering their expected tasks to ensure the State continues to enjoy the prevailing peace.

The Governor who was assisted by the state Commissioner of Police (CP) Ishola Babaita in performing the exercise added saying, “from the citation of the two gentlemen, it is clear that they merited the promotion to their new ranks. On behalf of my humble self, my family, the government, and the entire good people of Gombe state, I congratulate you for achieving this feat”.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, CP Babaita congratulated the newly decorated officers and charged them to improve further in their respective duties.

He assured that the Police and other security agencies will continue to ensure a close working relationship with the state government towards ensuring peace and security for the development of the state.
