Ugandan content creator and political commentator Faridah Namukasa, widely known as Generations Official has publicly confronted former presidential adviser and musician Jennifer Nakangubi, popularly known as Full Figure, following false and damaging statements made about a young content creator.
The incident occurred on 18 May 2025, when Full Figure went live on both Facebook and TikTok, claiming that Luwi Light, an emerging Ugandan content creator, had been sexually assaulted by her father — allegations that were later proven false. The broadcasts quickly circulated online, sparking outrage and intense debate among social media users.
In a strongly worded response on TikTok, Generation Official criticised Full Figure for repeatedly targeting younger women trying to establish themselves in Uganda’s digital space. “This has become her pattern,” Namukasa said in the video, which has been viewed tens of thousands of times. “She comes online to insult and destroy the image of younger ladies who are simply trying to make a name for themselves. It must stop.”
Namukasa accused Full Figure of undermining her own stated advocacy for women, arguing that such attacks on emerging creators harm rather than help the girl child. “She says she is advocating for women, but her actions have done more damage than good,” Namukasa said. She further warned that if Full Figure is not held accountable, “her next generations will be. Ugandans are not forgetting and will not let go of her actions.”
The confrontation has ignited a wave of discussion across social media platforms, including TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook. Many praised Generation Official for standing up to a high-profile figure, describing her as “a fearless defender of young women,” while others cautioned against the escalation of public feuds between prominent influencers.
Full Figure, who served as a Presidential Adviser on Youth Affairs, has previously courted controversy with public statements targeting entertainers and political figures. She was formerly aligned with the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) led by Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) before affiliating with the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in 2019.
Namukasa, in contrast, has emerged as one of Uganda’s most outspoken independent commentators, blending social activism with entertainment and commentary on gender, politics, and culture. She commands a following of more than 550,000 TikTok users, with content ranging from personal development to social justice and advocacy for young women.
Media analyst Sarah Kiggundu, based in Kampala, said the episode highlights the growing role of social media in shaping public discourse. “Platforms like TikTok and Facebook have become the new front line for accountability,” she said. “Figures like Generation Official are challenging celebrity and political power in ways that traditional institutions have not.”
The incident also draws attention to the vulnerabilities faced by young content creators in Uganda’s digital space, where reputations can be rapidly damaged by unverified claims. Gender rights advocate Agnes Kabogo described Namukasa’s intervention as “the kind of leadership we need among digital creators — holding each other accountable while protecting emerging voices.”
While Full Figure has not issued a public apology, the episode has reignited discussion on the responsibilities of public figures, the influence of social media, and the protection of young women online. For Generation Official, defending Luwi Light represents more than just advocacy for one individual; it reflects a commitment to safeguarding the next generation of Ugandan content creators.
