Galatasaray plan to start Victor Osimhen, who is about 85-90% fit now, in their UEFA Champions League home tie against Barcelona.
Osimhen has not played since September 4, when he suffered a muscle strain in a Turkish Super Lig clash against Basaksehir.
According to Fotomac, the striker is now nearing full fitness and will be expected to start from the bench in a Super Lig clash against fellow Istanbul club Kasimpasa Friday, October 9.
Sabah newspaper further reported that it is hoped he will play in the later stages of the Kasimpasa match.

It is then hoped he will get some match fitness and tempo by playing some minutes in the game for him to then start against Barcelona four days later.
The injury ruled Osimhen out of Galatasaray opening Champions League clash against Sporting Lisbon, which they lost 3-1 in Portugal.
In his absence, Galatasaray have only managed to score two goals in three matches and Deniz Gul, who has deputised for the Super Eagles star, has not only failed to live up to expectations, but has also fallen out with coach Okan Buruk.
