By Rasaq Oboirien

Executive Vice President of GreenLock Football Academy, Funsho Peters, confidently articulated the academy’s objectives and ambitions.

Last weekend, the academy proudly inaugurated its official launch at the Navy Sports Complex in Satellite Town, Lagos.

“It’s been about a year and a half now, but it feels like we’ve accomplished a decade’s worth of progress. I’m truly excited about our potential moving forward.

“The GreenLock Academy caters to both residential and non-residential players, and our mission is clear: to share our extensive football knowledge and foster the growth of the sport throughout Lagos.

“Talented children aspiring to join our academy will benefit from our partnerships with prestigious schools in Satellite Town, ensuring they can pursue their education while developing their athletic skills.

“Their journey doesn’t stop here; our top players will have the exclusive chance to showcase their talents on an international stage.

“We are gearing up to compete in the NLO, and I am eager to witness our performance. My approach is straightforward: focus on one game at a time.

“While promotion to the next tier league in Nigeria is certainly a goal, my primary commitment is to ensure our players are thoroughly prepared to elevate their game when the opportunity arises.”
