The Federal Government, through the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has announced plans to partner with the Godwin Aigboviose Foundation Africa (GAF), to raise funds for the climate-smart government projects in the Sustainability, Opportunity, Future, Technologies (S.O.F.T.) conference, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in July.

In a letter addressed to GAF Chairman, Dr. Godwin Aigboiose Omage, and made available to journalists, Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, acknowledged receipt of the invitation to collaborate on the diaspora engagement aspect of the conference.

Dabiri-Erewa conveyed the Commission’s appreciation for the initiative, expressing confidence in its objectives and stated that NiDCOM would support the S.O.F.T. Conference within its professional capacity.

Omage explained that the conference “is positioned as a significant global event focused on driving Africa’s economic transformation through sustainability, opportunities, and future technologies.

“It aims to unite entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and policymakers to foster partnerships and explore investment opportunities across the African continent.

“The conference intends to create a platform for global investment networks to participate in shaping Africa’s role in the global economy through strategic investments and collaborative innovation.

“It will feature insights from industry leaders, discussions on public-private partnerships, and showcases of technological advancements in areas like AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and energy solutions.”
