Residents of the Federal capital territory has blamed the FCT administration for the closure of business activities during the council polls elections.
The apathy towards the polls was evident as polling units at Jikwoyi phase 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively recorded low turnout despite the closure of businesses.
Speaking to the Daily Sun, Mr. Sunday Udeh an auto spare parts dealer, envisaged losses at the end of Saturday.
He said, “I don’t really know why business would not go on a long voting process. I remember when I was little my father went to the market with his voter’s card in his pocket. He went and goes back voter’s business. But nowadays, people are forced to stay at home, irrespective of what they lose at the end of the day.

Meanwhile, there were low voter’s turnout at Dagbadna polling units 115 and 017 in Karu, with scanty voters voting without worries.

On security reports, DSP of police Mrs Ayodele.L, confirmed that the process has been peaceful. A civil defense officer, ASC1, Okooboh Florita, said the process has been peaceful.

At Tokka village Karu Jikwoyi phase 11, polling unit 103, it was same as few voters reported for to cast votes. Police Inspector Martha Garba and ASP 1 Mr. Adama John confirmed that the voting has been peaceful irrespective of poor turn out.
The INEC Assistant presiding office Mr. Sunday Christian blamed poor directions as result of late arrival of materials at polling 103 at Karu.
A low turn out was also recorded at AP plaza Wuse two. Voting is expected to end by 2pm.
