The Europa League, like the Champions League, has introduced a new format for the 2024/25 season.
Manchester United, the FA Cup winners, and Tottenham, who finished fifth in the Premier League last season, await their opponents in the draw, which begins at 12 pm UK time on Friday.
This season, the Europa Division will include 36 clubs in a single division.
All of the clubs involved will face eight different opponents as they attempt to advance to the knockout round.
There will be an additional play-off round before the round of 16 and each squad will play one side from each pot at home and one away.
Clubs from the same country will be kept apart during the league phase, with each team playing no more than two opponents from another country.
Clubs that finish between ninth and 24th positions, will compete in a two-legged play-off to secure a place in the last 16. Clubs from 25th to 36th will exit the competition.
